Apply to our internships

We have since spring 2023 welcomed students to conduct their internships at We Listen In, as we are very positive to contribute to education within social sustainability. We welcome both Swedish and English speaking interns. The internships are unpaid.

We offer you:

💗 A customized internship specifically tailored to your internship’s requirements

💗 The chance to be a part of our organization and make a difference in subjects you are passionate about

💗 A lot of freedom as the internships are mostly remote

💗 Mentorship and support from our team, with at least one meeting per week

We expect:

✨Commitment throughout the internship, respecting the deadlines

✨That you take responsibility for achieving your own goals

✨We prioritize interns with long-term commitment i.e. interns who want to volunteer and be a part of the team after the internship

✨We try to schedule our meetings with our interns as much as possible during normal work hours, but we need you to be flexible with your calendar and okay to have calls and meetings after working hours and during weekends. Everyone working at We Listen In has full-time jobs and works with WLI pro-bono during our spare time.

"My time at We Listen In has been such a valuable experience! I have gained knowledge within my field of interest: inequality, norms, norm criticism, bicultural stress, and feelings of in-betweenship, this knowledge will further help me pinpoint the topic of my master thesis. Regardless of what career I will pursue after my studies, I do believe that these skills allow for a beneficial understanding of oneself and one's surroundings. I have also gained insight into how a non-profit organization is run and witnessed an enormous amount of drive and commitment throughout my time here which has been truly inspiring. I feel proud and grateful to be a part of such a great initiative."

Interned Spring 2023

"I am grateful for the opportunity to take part behind the scenes of an organization that has such a profound purpose and an amazing team. I have learned a lot about the norms and structure that we live in and how it can affect multicultural women but also many tools to handle different situations. I’ve also learned how it is to be part of non-profit organizations and the process to make an idea into reality. My time here has given me a great opportunity to practice my skills within my field as a concept developer within events and Samira has been my rock through it all. I gained so much more than I could ever hope for, thank you for everything! "
